Crosswind Chemicals was founded in February 2024 by John Mahaffey, Tanner Koricanek and Wyatt Koricanek — three industry professionals with deep roots in the oilfield and a shared vision: to bring reliability, integrity, and accountability back to the chemical supply business.
After years of working in the field and seeing the gaps firsthand, they set out to build a company that puts relationships first and delivers exactly what operators need — with no shortcuts, and no excuses.

Originally from Rayne, Louisiana, John brings years of experience in both the oilfield and chemical sectors to Crosswind Chemicals. He has held leadership and sales roles across the industry, earning a reputation for his strong work ethic, technical knowledge, and commitment to getting results. As Director of Operations, John ensures the company delivers consistent, high-quality service from the ground up.
Tanner Koricanek

Tanner is a third-generation oilfield professional from Yorktown, Texas, with years of hands-on experience across different sides of the industry. He brings energy, perspective, and a strong sense of commitment to every relationship he builds. At Crosswind Chemicals, Tanner leads business development with a focus on trust, long-term partnerships, and delivering real solutions that support field success.
Wyatt Koricanek

Born and raised in Yorktown, Texas, Wyatt brings a steady, solutions-driven mindset to Crosswind Chemicals. As a third-generation oilfield professional, he’s no stranger to the demands of the industry — and takes pride in helping operators get what they need, when they need it. A Texas State alum and former collegiate golfer, Wyatt is known for his focus, follow-through, and strong sense of accountability in every partnership.
